When I first start know how to market there are so many information it ultimately became information overload for me, I would jump from how to market in social media, free advertising methods to getting my own domain.  It takes me more than a year to figure out what is my first step I need to do.

First Step: Market research

• Do a market research  
• Document EVERYTHING! (Starting Right Now)
• This constant market research through out the life of YOUR business

Second Step: The Mind of Your Market (core motivations)

• Where to find them
• How to connect with them on their core of influence level
• How to market to them
• And the best way to serve them

Third Step:  Brainstorming Potential Markets

• List the problems your products(s) or service(s) can solve.
• List the problems your business opportunity can solve.
• List potential related markets (who specifically can you help?)
• Have list of 5-10 problems you can solve for each markets.

Four Step:  Identify and Evaluate Your Potential Markets

• Must have good profit markets potential.
• Must be something you are interested and passion in.

Fifth Step:  Keyword Research on Google

• Default keywords with your market niche.
• Sub-market keywords.
• Long tail keywords.
• Test, Test and Test
